Born in Cagliari and raised in Florence, Niccolò's roots are shaped by the jazz scene of Sardinia and the underground music culture of Tuscany. With his family playing a significant role in shaping his creative journey, he grew up under the roof of a school music teacher, while listening his uncle performing on the saxophone and his grandfather tuning pianos with a perfect ear. His early memories of interacting with sound include spinning records on a dusty and defected turntable at his grandparents' house, listening to old records from the World War II Italian resistance. As he grew up, his interest in electronic music developed alongside his family's ambitions in the field of acoustics. While exploring the local club scene, Niccolò took a class in computer music and live mixing under a section of the Florence Music Academy. This educational experience introduced him to the world of grime and jungle, expanding his creativity into the realm of inner city dubplates. Subsequently, he moved to Amsterdam, where he delved into vinyl records and analog sound modules, taking his music to a new level. His approach to studio production became more hardware-oriented, emphasizing fewer choices and a focus on well-defined handmade modulations. Sampling plays a crucial role during his sessions, incorporating a wide range of sounds: from cinematic ambient field recordings to acid analog soundscapes, percussive elements, and folkloristic instruments used in unconventional ways. This rich blend of different elements allows him to create a rich and multi-layered sonic landscape that can transport listeners to multiple worlds and moods. Sound design and engineering plays a crucial role during this process, allowing Niccolò to manipulate and shape these diverse textures into cohesive and engaging compositions. This meticulous attention to detail ensures that his signature not only feels captivating, but also offers an immersive experience to the audience. Niccolò's musical selections and DJ sets are known for their constant evolution, both in terms of styles and BPM. He seamlessly mixes a wide spectrum of styles, ranging from crossbreeds to therapeutic electronic music, including breaks, acid, bassline, techno, IDM, footwork, and jungle, reflecting his versatility and eclectic taste in electronic music.
