Amydala (ah-mi-dah-la) is an architect of rhythmic evolution. She is a Detroit bound DJ crafting dark, hypnotic, groove heavy sets that flirt with trance without losing the floor. Her sound is mysterious, dark, sexy, and hypnotic. Amydala controls dance floors by shaping a distinct experience for every room, delivering a dark and unpredictable late night journey stripping away the superficial to focus entirely on the magnetic pull of the groove, Molded on an outdoor patio in Kentucky and refined in the industrial heart of Detroit, she has transitioned from a dedicated listener to a pivotal architect of the Kentucky electronic music scene. As a driving catalyst in the regional scene, Amydala founded Sirens of Sound to carve out safe, inclusive spaces for women and the LGBTQ community and also launched Do Not Disturb, a Kentucky-based techno collective. Through both collectives, she ran monthly residencies and pop-ups built as a sanctuary for self-expression. Honing her craft led her to playing her first show in Detroit and sharing lineups with artists like Marcel Fengler, Henry Brooks, DJ Sphinx, AMX, AZA, and Lady Witch. Amydala is now going deeper into live performances with the Octatrack.
