Ammnejah is an Italian musician currently based in Berlin. Situated between the ambient and experimental scene, her work blurs the boundaries between the acoustics of her voice and de-constructed electronic sounds that include field sounds, analogue synthesisers, improvisation, noise and granular synthesis. Her works focus on conveying sweet and disturbing emotions through the continuous manipulation of sounds. The artist's need to merge different arts led her to perform as a sound artist and dancer in the ‘Organico Elettronico’ project founded by Italian choreographer Alessandra Fabbri and to perform with Family N'Diaye Rose and Labour in the ‘Atonal’ event, Kraftwerk Berlin. She has performed in various other venues such as Castello Estense, Torrione di San Giovanni, Museo di Casa Romei for the ‘Festival Mixxer’ in Italy; at the Funkhaus in Berlin and many others. Ammnejah is currently presenting her new project ‘Manipulation’, in which she aims to transport the listener into an ethereal sound environment of dystopian character. Instagram: @ammnejah
