Amirali Hosseini, known by his stage names Amira Lii and Koti, is a prominent Tehran-based DJ, producer, and musician born in 1992. Over the past decade, he has emerged as a pioneering figure in Iran's underground electronic music scene. Beginning his musical journey in 2009 with a focus on electronic music and techno, Amira Lii quickly gained recognition for his innovative approach to music and for organizing groundbreaking parties and events in Tehran. His contributions have been instrumental in shaping a new version of the Tehran underground scene, pushing boundaries and challenging conventions. In 2016, Amira Lii delved into music production, releasing his first EP on Sibilization and his debut single track on Deep House Tehran. His talent and unique style have led to performances in various countries such as the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, and Germany. Collaborating with renowned labels in Iran and showcasing his work on platforms like Rinse FM, Refugee Worldwide, and Soho Radio, Amira Lii has established himself as a versatile artist with a global reach. In 2019, Amira Lii co-founded Adaptor Records, Tehran's first electronic music record store showcasing Iranian talent worldwide. This venture underscores his commitment to nurturing the local scene while making a global impact. Beyond his DJ and production work, Amira Lii is also involved in creating music for films and theatre. Notably, he contributed to the soundtrack of the Berlinale-winning short film "I'm Dancing Too." Amira Lii's influence continues to expand globally. In 2024, he embarked on his first Europe tour, performing in Paris, Nantes, and Berlin. Additionally, he had the opportunity to play for the renowned Hoer Berlin, further solidifying his presence in the international electronic music scene.
