Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Amira made her move to the west coast in 2015. Not only is she happy to call San Diego, CA her new home, but it is also the city where her DJing journey began. As the daughter of Algerian and Egyptian parents, Amira grew up speaking Arabic and listening to Middle Eastern music. She became exposed to a multitude of other languages and cultures living in a city as diverse as NYC. Inspired by the world around her and the many different emotions that unite us all, Amira plays a variety of styles and communicates with her crowd through music. She has no plans to box herself into one specific genre and enjoys the opportunity to take her audience through a musical journey.
