Alvisex
Biografía
Alvise Tramonte, aka Alvisex, is a dj and music selector from the floating island of Venice spinning records across the local scene. From an early age, he was immersed in the grooves of funk, soul, and disco thanks to his parents, who were regulars at legendary clubs like Les Cigales and Chicago—venues where musical experimentation and innovation were the true headliners. In his early teens, he explored classical music, playing the double bass and dabbling with the electric bass for personal enjoyment. This classical chapter closed as he entered high school, giving way to a growing fascination with electronic music, driven by the allure of club culture and the underground scene. What began as a passion shared among friends and private parties eventually led him to vinyl, and a connection with the collective Gruppo Pxrno. When performing in clubs, his preferred sounds include deep and minimal house from the late '90s through the 2000s, beloved for their dreamy and flirty vocals. Guided by instinct rather than genre, his selections are shaped by sounds from all over the world and from every era, with no fear of experimentation or styles layering. He cultivates a deep interest and ongoing exploration in Psychedelic Rock and Downtempo, Future and Nu Jazz, Fusion, Jungle, Ambient, Reggae and Dub music.
