DJ “Alleviate” (Chris Ogle) is a Sydney based DJ born in the United Kingdom. Alleviate has swiftly created a fresh and cutting-edge sound since launching his way onto the Australian dance scene following his finals performance in 2012’s Your Shot Competition in Sydney. Following the competition, Chris immediately secured gigs in some of Sydney’s most respected clubs, including the Cave in Chinese Laundry, and others within Kings Cross. Chris has a keen sense and feel for the Progressive, Techno, and Trance genres, and has fused them together to create a sound that he best describes as “Progressive Tech”. Chris’s Dad was once an international Pro Golfer and his Mum is a Life-Coach & Author (and was also once a DJ herself), so DJ Alleviate’s family influences has set him up as a force not be taken lightly as he set his sights on moving the world with his music. In his early years, Chris surrounded himself with diverse styles of music and developed a keen attention to the subtleties of sound and their reaction on both body and mind. Genres such as Classical, New Age, Chill-Out and Trance, have been favourites for Chris, and has given rise to his desire & ability to fuse the elements of his lifelong sonic influences together with today’s technology and engineering. Chris came up with the name “Alleviate” because it represents a fusion of his two biggest passions. His early professional sporting career exposed him to numerous injuries and long bouts of rehabilitation, that eventual cut short a promising sporting career. Turning a disadvantage into an advantage, Chris began a Personal Training business that focuses primarily on “pain alleviation”, and recreating the strength of his clients. Music of course is his other big passion, because of it’s incredible ability to heal emotional pain and make people feel joy. “Helping people to move without pain is a rewarding feeling, and I always want it to be the same with my music."
