Rising star Ali Mae began her music curation journey in NYC in the fall of 2018 as a result of a yearning to understand and appreciate more the music she so loved. She bought a controller and taught herself to mix, but her curiosity for the craft quickly turned into a passion for performance once she began playing for people and feeling the powerful energy exchange from the dance floor. She noticed the uniting power that playing music had and became addicted to the feeling she got from igniting such human connection. She quickly became recognized in the underground music scene of NYC, earning a residency at Amaya where she further grew as an artist and established her personal sound. Her music style infuses deep sounds of organic house with multicultural influences from the Middle East, Africa, and Latin America -- particularly Mexico, where she currently resides. Deeper into the night, you can expect to hear driving basslines of darker afro and organic house as well as melodic techno with tribal essences.
