ALEGRIA [DrumObsession / Bassdrive / Poland] Even though he'd listened to Drum & Bass in the past, it wasn't until the day he turned the dial to internet radio giant BASSDRIVE.COM that ALEGRIA truly became addicted to this fast-paced, exciting music. From that moment on, the story became near-cliché: friends suggested he get his own equipment and become a DJ himself - thus began the "bedroom DJ" stage. After hard work in the studio honing his technical and selection skills, ALEGRIA recorded his first studio mix and was instantly spotted by a local promoter with gig offers. Since then, ALEGRIA's played various monthly parties with the DRUMOBSESSION crew and has also found time to start his own monthly edition of parties entitled 'LUCID DRUMMING'. He started his weekly show on the local FM radio in 2011 and in October 2012 he managed to secure his own weekly slot on BASSDRIVE.COM thus enabling him to spread the DRUMOBSESSION sound worldwide. As a promoter, ALEGRIA is responsible for booking revered DRUM & BASS luminaries such as RANDOM MOVEMENT, NAIBU, KOMATIC, TRIAD, STRAY, DFUNK, PRESHA, HALOGENIX, MIKAL, BIG BUD, PAUL SG, FOREIGN CONCEPT, TECHNICOLOUR, HYDRO, FD, LM1, CHRIS SU, PHIL TANGENT, dBRIDGE, ULTERIOR MOTIVE, LENZMAN, SUBMORPHICS, MAKO, DAVE OWEN, CALCULON, TOKYO PROSE, A-SIDES, NYMFO, SAM KDC, COMMIX, LOXY, JAYBEE, OM UNIT, SURVEY, SINISTARR, FLACO, MARCUS INTALEX, ICICLE, BLOCKS & ESCHER, MARK SYSTEM, DOC SCOTT, VILLEM, ROYGREEN & PROTONE, SKEPTICAL, KID DRAMA, SCAR, LSB, MORESOUNDS, FRACTURE. He's also shared the stage and spotlight with worldwide heavyweights APHRODITE, ANILE, BLACK SUN EMPIRE, EDWARD OBERON, GOLDIE, JUNE MILLER, METHOD ONE, NETSKY, RONI SIZE, SIGMA, S.P.Y, WILL MILES and ZYON BASE, to name but a few. Since early 2010 until late 2014, through his strong and determined networking skills, ALEGRIA has also played an integral role in the worldwide promotion of burgeoning, jazzy D&B label JAZZSTICKS RECORDINGS, run by VIENNA, AUSTRIA-based (and GOOD LOOKING RECORDS artist) PAUL SG. In 2014 MAKO invited ALEGRIA to help him promote his UTOPIA MUSIC imprint.
