Akrelya

Akrelya is a contemporary modular techno live act built for the dancefloor: dense, physical and ruthlessly functional. Behind it is a Madrid-based producer: around fifteen years of releases on various labels under other names, and years of classical composition studies. The live rig grew out of generative systems he was building in Max/MSP and Reaktor, moved into hardware so he could play them in real time. Built around a modular system designed by Akrelya, every performance unfolds entirely in real time. Everything is decided in the room. No second take. Designed to generate patterns live through Turing machines, algorithmic tools and generative processes, the result is a raw dialogue between human and machine where structures evolve, collide and reorganize. Behind the rawness there is architecture. Akrelya calls it architectural techno: layers don't stack, they hold each other up. Motifs mirrored across time scales, dense harmonic blocks, a sound language built from inside the system, all of it in service of one thing: structure the body feels before the mind can name it. Each set responds like an organism, starting from silence and building under pressure.
