AKAY is a London-based DJ with a deep passion for music that has been shaped by a lifetime of diverse influences. Born in Nigeria, then moving to South Africa and now living in the UK, he has been exposed to a wide array of sounds, which helped cultivate his expansive taste and versatile approach to DJing. Specialising in hip-hop and R&B, AKAY also thrives in blending electronic sounds like house, afro house, ghetto tech and amapiano, alongside afrobeats, future beats, and edits. His signature style fuses these genres together seamlessly, crafting unique sonic experiences that ignite the dance floor and leave audiences in a state of pure joy and elation. AKAY has played across stages in London, Paris, Morocco and Finland, performing at iconic venues including Fabric, The Lower Third, Night Tales Loft, The Standard, Somerset House and Sketch. Alongside live performances, he has appeared on radio platforms such as NTS, Bloop and The Beat London 103.6 FM. He has collaborated with brands including Adidas, COLORS, Red Bull, Bone Soda and G-Shock. AKAY is also the Creative Director of Love At First Vibe (LAFV), a Black-owned London-based collective curating community-driven events across the city. Through LAFV, he has programmed and hosted events at venues such as The Cause, Sketch and The Lower Third, delivering multiple sold-out experiences.
