Aika Mal (Born Malaika Shaw) is an Irish/Ugandan Producer, Singer/Songwriter and DJ. As well as playing on line ups alongside the the likes of Fat Boy Slim, DJ Heidi and Fred Again. Aika Mal hold a monthly radio show on Foundation FM and Threads. Aika Mal self-released her first single “Call Me Honey” which accelerated her exposure and within her first year she had received airplay on Huw Stephens BBC Radio 1, Jamie Callum Radio 2 and has won an Unsigned Music Award. After relocating to London, Aika Mal started out DJing at underground venues such as The Cause, Four Quarters and Canavans. This is where she formed connections with some of London most renowned underground DJs. Following her collaboration ‘Hold Me Close’ with UK Garage producer Holloway which sold out, Aika Mal is set to release her debut single in late may 2023
