After having picked up the art of deejaying back in 2016, following an avid addiction to collecting records., Acid Chess Club has evolved into a multi-faceted creative, DJ and musician who you may have seen humbly running the notorious Acid Chess CLUB Tuesdays or twinkling some keys with their band San of the Rambutan on Wednesdays, all the while getting prepped to play at some of Australia’s best festivals including Strawberry Fields and 2 Degrees. Stylistically, at an Acid Chess Club DJ set you can expect to be swayed with smooth soundscapes seeded with new-wave jazz and Balearic left-field house, blooming into the odd dubby track or breakbeat number depending on the time of day. Though the time differs, the intention is always the same: to keep your feet stomping and hips moving, all while messing with the mind. Besides DJ’ing across town, Acid Chess Club is responsible for curating some of the most thought-provoking and innovative parties across Naarm.
