Abstract is above all a music lover and a record collector. Born and raised in Milan he started playing the piano as a child and at 18 opened a record shop in his hometown. He is inspired by the likes of musicians such as Miles Davis, Herbie Hancock, Billy Cobham, Nina Simone, Bob James, and artists like Theo Parrish, Kenny Dixon Jr, Sadar Bahar, Omar S. In 1999 he began to mix only vinyl records. Abstract has been an owner and resident DJ at the former "Dude Club", one of the most relevant clubs in Italy.
