Ababacar Malick Diop (aka A.M.D) - Being heavily influenced by the djembe, movie scores, and video game music, the Senegalese born has fine tuned his sound over the years into a soundscape based techno. He had the opportunity to consistently perform opening sets for Rob Seurat's EXILE, therefore picking up a habit of starting a set off from scratch with ambient and gradually add life as he progresses. Over the years, A.M.D has gotten the chance to display his curating at events such as SEQUENCE DC with The Gods planet (Ness & Claudio PRC), Feral and Craft at Keybar NYC, Setaoc Mass and Sophia Saze at Good Room for Dusk & Haze, and FJAAK at Flash DC. And as part of Damon Bradley's TechnoFist, he helps curate the second room for Katalyst. There, he choses various US based artists that share similar sounds to him to help balance Katalyst's trance rave influenced main room. Since then, he (along with Ian Widow aka Widow) has launched a quarterly party centered around hypnotic techno and plans to inject a less explored sound to educate the crowd with the true masters of this craft: Provoke. In a sense, the underlying theme of such an event is to have your mind just as stimulated as your body, in perfect unison.
