Hailing from Brooklyn, NY, Los Angeles-based DJ and Producer, 88, quickly gained notoriety in the city’s music scene by consistently delivering electrifying and energetic DJ sets. With roots based in rap and dancehall music due to his Caribbean background, and developing a wider ear for music as he traveled abroad while serving in the United States Navy, his style reflects just that. He fuses his influences with high energy Baltimore, Jersey, and Philly Club breaks, GQOM, UK Funky, Ballroom and Ghetto House to name a few, but no form of dance music is excluded as long as it makes you move. He aims to create a space where genre lines and labels don’t exist, and you can let the music free you. 88's genre-bending style earned him a monthly radio residency on Los Angeles' famed cultural institution, Dublab, called "Club Paradise", and a monthly party at The Ace Hotel Downtown Los Angles, of the same name.
