Hi, i'm Alexandre aka 1client. I enjoy collecting and playing records for quite a long time already. My main style would be club-compatible deep and trippy techno, with many influences but the major ones are dub and trance. I also enjoy playing more coulourful club sets, harder stuff and chilled-out music. I love special stuff, dark stuff, cheesy stuff, frustrating stuff, extatic stuff, and many more kinds of stuff. Speaking for myself, it's more about sensitivity and aesthetics than genres, more about understanding a context and building a special mood for a special moment than focusing on a musical identity as a DJ. If I was in your place reading this I would probably need some references. So, quite randomly : My first musical shock was I Like To Move It by Reel 2 Real. Also when I was 13 and didn't know anything about music I bought the single Embargo - Embargo. Much much later I have been astonished by some wild free partie in Brittany. I am therefore excited by extatic party music, be it very cheesy, hardcore, or both. In high school I listened to a lot of reggae and dub. Some music by Lee Scratch Perry keeps amazing me though I litstened to it so many times. Also french nu-dub bands such as High Tone were some of the first steps towards a growing interest in electronic music. In my twenties I starded mixing dubby tech house on Traktor with no controller… Good times haha. In my late twenties I bought a few records just for fun. I wasn't suspecting it would get that far. In the meantime I have been impressed and influenced by some events and some DJs. Random names : Parallel Festival, La Vallée Electrique, Ouroboros, Waking Life, Dub Camp, Fusion Festival, Berghain, Sysiphos, Griesmühle... Jane Fitz, Sandrien, SO, Donato Dozzy, Vlada, Priori, Sybil, Shackleton, Mad Miran, Takaaki Itoh, Sindh, and many more. Enough name dropping, hopefully you get a better idea of what makes me move, smile and really touches me. To finish with, no one's asking but my DJ name is a nod to an dirty oldschool techno classic : The Amazing - Qu'est-ce Que Vous Voulez ?
